Stillwater provides other related support services to eligible families and individuals. Currently, the Stillwater Center is licensed to provide residential services to 98 individuals. The Stillwater Center is owned and operated by the Board of Montgomery County Commissioners.

The Stillwater Center is committed to operating in a manner that is respectful and protecting of residents’ rights as well as economically feasible.

A newly-constructed building was opened in April 2003. The facility measures 100,000 square feet, and features 98 beds for full-time residents and 10 beds for respite guests. The homes are designed specifically for Stillwater’s resident population. All services are provided on a ground floor; buildings are adjacent and interconnected, some private, mostly semi-private rooms, quality bathing areas, along with family and living/dining rooms in each home.

Payment for services comes from Waiver or Medicaid.

Family visitation is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

We provide emergency first aid on-site. If needed, we will call 9-1-1 to send your loved one to a nearby hospital for additional care.

Request
Respite Care

An initial request for respite care should be made two weeks in advance. The Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities allows up to 30 days of respite care per year.

Applications for respite care are approved based on the ability to accommodate and in the order of family requests.
